Trustful Subscribers feel that they are in good hands when they see that you take the protection of their data seriously. It is therefore important that you add relevant information beneath your form. You can either use a check box as Wolford does, or you can follow the example of our own newsletter and add some text.

You can provide a preview of your latest newsletter to convince anyone who’s not sure. This allows prospective subscribers to get an idea of what they can expect from your newsletter before actually subscribing.

The proven ‘double opt-in’ subscription process is also good for building confidence. The subscriber-to-be receives an email containing a link, which they must click in order to confirm their subscription request.
As some subscribers are not yet familiar with this method and therefore fail to confirm this link, make sure that you mention it clearly on the landing page that appears after the web form is sent. It is better to lose a few potential subscribers than have to dispute an accusation of spam.
