Inxmail Professional 4.7.2

Overview

There are new features and upgrades in Version 4.7.2 for email marketing with Inxmail Professional.

Use our checklist to adjust your email marketing with Inxmail Professional to come in line with the newly enacted General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Announcement

Inxmail Professional and Inxmail Professional updates will only be supplied in the 64-bit version from January 2019. If you have Inxmail Professional installed on a 32-bit system, you must switch to a 64-bit system before this date.

Background: Inxmail always uses the latest Java version. Java versions 10 and 11 no longer support 32-bit systems.

General improvements/upgrades

  • Encrypted communication for your own subdomains
    Communication during link tracking and dynamic website linking can now also be encrypted (https) if you use your own subdomains for this purpose.
    Please contact Inxmail Support if you would like to use encrypted communication.
  • Encrypted online parameters
    So-called online parameters, which are integrated in links for calling up certain dynamic Web pages, for example, are transferred in encrypted form to dynamic websites.
    The [%online_params] command automatically encrypts online parameters.
    If you wish to transfer online parameters in unencrypted form to a Web application, for example, you can do this using the [%online_params_unencrypted] command.
    Contact your Inxmail contact person if you need information on how to encrypt online parameters.

Rest API

You can find the following new functions in the REST API:

  • Retrieve bounces for a mailing within a defined period page by page (filtering by mailing ID is now possible).
  • Retrieve a mailing or sending page by page.
    There is also an option to request recipients at the same time. During the request it is possible to also specify recipient attributes that should be also be output at the same time.
  • Call up Web beacon hits (retrievals of tracking pixels) for a mailing or sending page by page.

  • Upgrade related to tracking permission log retrieval
    There is also an option to request the recipients at the same time. During the request it is possible to also specify recipient attributes that should be also be output at the same time.
  • The default page size for the page by page output via the REST API was increased to 1,000 to significantly reduce the number of requests.
  • Retrieve links, clicks and openings of a mailing
  • Filter links by link type

RPC API

From Inxmail Professional 4.7.2, there is an option to also request the email address of recipients when calling up TrackingPermissionLogEntryRowSet. As with SubscriptionLog, it is possible to also enter the recipient attributes that you would like to call up alongside the email address.
